The first day of the two-day seminar will focus on ‘International advocacy for better healthcare access’.
In the morning best practices and experiences in their own chapter will be discussed and shared, whereas the afternoon will evolve around different workshops on advocacy. Workshops will focus on a broad range of topics such as monitoring and how to engage health professionals.
The following day will focus on immigration control and policing as challenges to healthcare access for migrant and minority ethnic groups. Similarly to the first day, the morning will host a panel discussion on advocacy strategies, whereas in the afternoon participants will be offered a large array of workshops to attend. Workshops will be about clinician resistance, medical ethics and how to use evidence to make public health arguments.
